| As the name suggests,
Late Harvest wines come from fruit that was harvested later
than our normal pick time. As the fruit hangs on the
vine it begins to raisin, concentrating the sugars and
reducing the water in the must when the grapes are finally
picked. This process yields
wines of concentration and character, usually a little darker
than wines harvested earlier, and almost always sweeter than
our normally harvested wines.
Our 2001 Vidal was a prize winner at
the 2003 Canada Wine Awards (see right).
Best Value could sum up our entire
wine-making philosophy. We are as proud of this trophy
as we are to offer exceptional wines at excellent prices.
